MAY 20, 2026—They Knew He Was Coming

They Knew He Was Coming

John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

People often wonder about salvation in the Old Testament compared with salvation in the New Testament. It is really the same thing. Salvation is by faith in Christ, no matter when you are saved. Today, we look back to the cross of Calvary and Christ, the Messiah, who died for us there. The people of the Old Testament looked to a coming Messiah, as we see by the woman at the well’s statement to Jesus.

They knew He was coming because their scriptures had told them so. We know He is coming again because of the same truths written for us in God’s Word. They were waiting, watching, and looking for His appearance.

MAY 19, 2026—End Of Debate

End Of Debate

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

There are many today who want to debate whether the god of other religions is the same God of those who put their faith in Christ. Is it possible that all roads lead to the same creator? The answer is NO.

If you believe the Bible contains the real words of the one true God, then today’s verse should end the debate. Other religions do not believe in Jesus as the Son of God. They have other prophets they follow or systems they practice to get to what they call god. If you believe this is really God’s Word, He said that if you do not believe in His Son, Jesus, you will not see everlasting life. That should end the debate.

MAY 18, 2026—Going The Wrong Way

Going The Wrong Way

John 3:17-18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I saw on the news a while back a story and video of a man who was drinking and driving on the wrong side of the highway. Although everything was coming his way, he appeared not to realize he was in the wrong. It ended in a fiery crash that took his life.

Jesus did not come to the world to condemn people; they are already heading down the wrong path. By heading that way, they are condemned already. Jesus came to be the flashing light in their eyes to warn them. If they will see the warning and turn from their sin to Him, He will save them. Otherwise, there is bound to be a fiery crash at the end of their lives. The bible says, “Let your light so shine.”

MAY 16 & 17, 2026—Recalled For A Defect

Recalled For A Defect

John 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

It seems of late, so many things are being recalled. Baby beds, cars, and even food have been called back by the manufacturer because something wasn’t right.

In today’s verse, we also see two different types of recalls. The first was after Jesus rose from the tomb; the disciples recalled Jesus saying He would tear down the temple, referring to His body, and rebuild it in three days. When they recalled His words, it says they believed. That was a spiritual recall of words to their memory. God has been recalling broken souls forever with His words. Our sin-filled souls need to be recalled by the creator to be made new by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus. But just like with any recall, it will not get fixed if we do not heed the warnings.

MAY 15, 2026—Brother, Where Art Thou

Brother, Where Art Thou

John 1:40-41 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

I have heard some awesome, exciting, life-changing news. Would you like to know what it is? Well, sure you would; who would not? As much as you want to hear it, the person with the news feels like a bomb is about to go off inside them until they tell someone. That is how Andrew felt as He looked for his brother.

Good news is only news if it’s shared. Otherwise, it is just good information. TV News shows exist to tell information that they feel you might want or need to know. That is when it becomes news. The word “gospel” means GOOD MESSAGE or GOOD NEWS. However, the Gospel is not really Good News until it is shared.
