Do Not Doubt God
August 30 & 31, 2025
KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:
Luke 22:23
And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:
Jesus had just told His Disciples that one of them was about to betray Him. Each of the Disciples began to turn to one another and ask, “Is it I?” Doubt was a weapon that the Devil was using way back in the days of the Disciples.
Deception and doubt are some of Satan’s greatest tools. If Satan can get you to doubt your walk with God, doubt your salvation, doubt that your testimony is effective, and doubt your place of service for God, then he can get you to be less than what God intended for you to be.
In Matthew 14:31, when Peter was sinking in the sea, Jesus reached out to him and said, “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Later in Matthew 21:21-22, Jesus told His disciples, “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Jesus fully understood the problem with doubt. He also knew how Satan would use it.
Let’s not give place to Satan in our lives with doubt about anything God has told us is true. Our Salvation is secure, He promised. Our position in Him is sure; He said so. Our service to Him will bring rewards, He proclaimed it. In addition, Satan, who brings about doubt, is defeated, and Christ beats him.
CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:
In 2 Timothy 1:7, it says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Let’s not let the devil tempt us with doubt and fear. We should proclaim with a loud voice, “On Christ the Solid Rock I stand; all other ground is so surely sinking sand.”
Do you believe in God’s salvation so much
you can’t help but tell people you meet?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself what MY THOUGHTS are concerning this Passage and today’s Devotion?
Do I find within this reading a CHALLENGE for my life?
What are one or two things I WILL DO today or this week to accept that CHALLENGE?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:
There will not be a Daily Devotion sent out on Sundays. Instead, we encourage you to attend your church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home, re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.
