APRIL 25 & 26, 2026—Highly Esteemed Error

Highly Esteemed Error

Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

What is it that most people want in life? Some want wealth, while others would love to have prestige. Many people just want things. Boats, cars, houses, etc. None of those things in and of themselves are sinful until they become the center of your world and things or positions define you. “Look at me; I must be ok with God, look at all I have, or look at who I am.”

Jesus said, You might justify yourself before men, and you might fool men, but friend, you will never fool God. He knows your heart. If you think possessions or positions will get you into heaven someday, well, that is a highly esteemed error

APRIL 24, 2026—Sinned Against Heaven

Sinned Against Heaven

Luke 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

The young son in the story has taken his father’s inheritance and wasted it on riotous living. He shamed the father’s name in the marketplace. It was his father who worried about him and watched for his return. However, the unruly son says, “I have sinned against heaven.” Repentance is not to the father but to God.

Too often, we feel sorry because we feel we have hurt someone. Yet a sign of true repentance is when we realize that all that a man has and who he is comes from God. When the son broke his dad’s heart, it broke God’s heart. David said the same thing in Psalms 51:4, “Against thee, thee ONLY, have I sinned.”

Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

You are told you can bring as many people as you can, but there is a deadline, so you must do so quickly. You ask, “When is the deadline?” And they reply, “We cannot tell you, so get busy right away; it may be soon.” WOW!

Today, God is preparing the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Jesus Christ is being honored, and you are invited to come. Not only that, but you may bring as many people as you can, but there is an undisclosed deadline. The dinner is almost ready. God wants His house full and is asking you to fill it. APRIL 22, 2026—God Doesn’t Like Show-Offs

God Doesn’t Like Show-Offs

Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Look at me, look at me, mommy. Little children love having people watch them as they show off their newfound talents of walking, running, and riding a bike. How cute they are, and we as parents are so proud. We ought to be happy for them. They are growing up, learning many skills they will need in life.

Sadly, for some, they never grow up. They never get out of the show-off stage in life. As adults, they are still saying “Look at me” with their actions and sometimes words. Often, they embarrass themselves and others with their bragging. When we make God our Lord, we need to stop showing off. If God decides to display our talents for His good, He will. Until then, we need to be content serving a loving, almighty God.

APRIL 21, 2026—All The Children Of The World

All The Children Of The World

Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

We have a world that is in chaos. Wars are being fought daily all around us. Crime and deadly diseases plague our nations. People cannot agree on why we have all the weather phenomena and argue over the data. It seems that we might never get along.

However, in today’s verse, it says people from the east, west, north, and south will all sit down together in the kingdom of God. Yes, there will be people from every nation and every race sitting together. All with the love of God in their hearts toward Him and toward one another. We are all God’s children. It reminds me of a little song that we sang in Sunday School. Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world.
