Have Patience With God
OCTOBER 26, 2026
Daily Reading—Jer. 4-6 / 1 Tim. 1
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Thessalonians 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
It may seem as if the church is going through some rough times today. Some government leaders are trying to pass down rulings completely contrary to what we know God’s Word says. Even worse, it is apparent that they do not care about what is Biblically right and wrong or how their decisions affect the church.
However, going back in church history, the situation we find ourselves in is nothing new. Paul told the church of Thessalonica that he was proud of how they handled themselves in the face of persecution and tribulations. Their endurance in trials showed a great faith in God and patience for His will. God is in control.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
If more people will receive Christ, shouldn’t we also have patience with God’s decisions?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself, what are MY THOUGHTS concerning this passage and today’s devotion?
Within this reading, do I find a CHALLENGE for my life?
What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
