It Is Not Uncommon

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Paul begins this chapter of 1 Corinthians 10, telling the readers, “I would not that ye should be ignorant.” As he goes on, he speaks of the many things the children of Israel did way back when they left Egypt and wandered in the desert on their way to the Promised Land of Israel. He warns the church not to repeat the same mistakes in life that Israel made thousands of years ago. Did Paul think they had not learned anything over thousands of years? Yup!.
In fact, these sins are not uncommon today. The temptations today may have undergone a facelift, yet underneath, they are still the same. Nevertheless, God is faithful to make a way to escape, just as He did back then.
