JUNE 4, 2026—One Fold

One Fold

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

I love it when Jesus talks about me in the bible. I almost get goosebumps. In today’s passage, while Jesus was talking to the Jewish Pharisees about the fact that He was the way of salvation, He tossed in a verse that spoke about ME! OK, I cannot be so self-centered… He spoke of you, too, if you are saved.

He said, “I have sheep which are not of this fold.” In other words, people who are not Jewish. That’s me! Then He went on to say He was going to bring us all together to be part of one fold. That, my friend, is not a Jewish or Gentile fold; it is the fold of the Born Again in Christ Jesus. That’s me too! People from every tribe and nation will be in this fold.

JUNE 3, 2026—Let’s Play 1000 Questions

Let’s Play 1000 Questions

John 9:26-27 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

The young man in our passage has just received his sight. He has been blind since birth. What is the first thing that he sees? A bunch of religious know-it-alls who want to play 1000 questions. Who did it? How did He do it? Where is the man who did it? What day was it? Then, when they ran out of questions, it appears that they repeated the ones he had already answered.

It amazes me how many Bible questions people can come up with when you are trying to tell them about Jesus and salvation. They want to know everything except what points to the fact that they are sinful and need a Saviour. Every question except “What must I do to be saved?” As troubling as this may be, we need to keep telling them the gospel.

JUNE 2, 2026—They Just Don’t Believe It

They Just Don’t Believe It

John 9:18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

Isn’t it amazing when we read the story in John 9 how some who were standing there would not believe the testimony of the man himself? They could see that he who was blind could now see. He himself told them Jesus had come by and healed his sight. Yet they denied the proof of the truth standing right before them.

Today, we have the same thing happening. People look at the lives of believers and see something different. When they ask how it happened, they are told, Jesus came by, gave me sight to see my sinful condition, then saved my soul, and changed my life. Yet they walk away in disbelief at what they can see is the truth. Do not let the world’s unbelief get you down.

JUNE 1, 2026—A Forward Faith

A Forward Faith

John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

As we look back on the cross of Calvary, knowing our salvation is by faith in Jesus, who died for our sin and then rose again the third day from the tomb, many wonder, how were Old Testament saints saved? They were saved the same way that we are. It is by faith. Our faith is in what Jesus did in the past at Calvary. Their faith was looking forward to His coming. Jesus said in John 8:56, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.”

Just as the Old Testament saints did, we too are looking forward. By faith, we are looking forward to His return. It is by faith in His Word that we believe this, just like they did many years ago.

MAY 30 & 31, 2026—Do I Always Please Him?

Do I Always Please Him?

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

As a boy growing up, I was… well, let’s just say not always the best son. “Naughty” was a word that I seemed to hear a lot. As I grew into my teens, the word changed from “naughty” to “mischievous.” Then, as a young adult, he is a “troubled man.” In all these ways, I can say it did not please my earthly father.

Then I accepted Christ as my Saviour. My earthly dad was so happy to see that day, as was my new Heavenly Father. Some old friends called me a faker. They soon saw I was not. Now, by most, I am called a Christian. A title of honor and responsibility. I cannot say I am perfect or always do things that please God, but I am trying, and that is my desire.
