MAY 13, 2022 – This Little Light Of Mine

This Little Light Of Mine

MAY 13, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Samuel 16-18 / John 1:1-34

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

John 1:7-8 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

How beautiful is the moon? Especially when it is full, and the skies are clear. Its soft yellowish light shines and lights up the dark skies. Many a romantic scene in the movies have been highlighted by the wonderful light of this moon. Yet we must remember, the moon does not shine, it reflects. There is no light in the moon; it is a reflection of the sun.
John said that he was not the Light but came to be a witness of the Light. A reflection of the glow and glory of God shining through him.
We are told in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.” What a privilege to shine for Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

How will you reflect the glory of God today?

MAY 12, 2022 – Part One, Part Two

Part One, Part Two

MAY 12, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Samuel 14-15 / Luke 24:36-53

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 24:46-47 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Christians worldwide are so grateful for the fulfilled promises of God. His greatest promise to man being that He would send a Saviour to redeem us from our sin and set our feet on a new path toward heaven. Jesus said in our verses today, this was His ultimate mission in coming to earth, and He has done His part.
However, that was part one of a two-part statement. Part one Jesus completed. Part two He asks us to do. To tell the world that if they will repent, which means to turn from their sin and put their faith in Christ, their sin too will be washed in the precious blood He shed.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Jesus fulfilled His part, are we doing ours?

MAY 11, 2022 – The Beginning And The End

The Beginning And The End

MAY 11, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Samuel 11-13 / Luke 24:1-35

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

The Gnostics of old said that Jesus was not God when He came to earth, nor when He left. In fact, there are many today, who still argue that Jesus was a great man of His time, but that was it. How sad for them.
In Luke 24:27 Jesus shared with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, how the Old Testament foretold of Him. How it prophesied He would come for just a time as this. Sadly, many did not believe then, just as many do not believe today.
There is another passage they ought to consider. It says in Philippians 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. One day they will understand.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What part of Alpha and Omega don’t they get?

MAY 10, 2022 – He Saw A Saviour

He Saw A Saviour

MAY 10, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Samuel 7-10 / Luke 23:27-56

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

What does it take to become a child of God?
Some think it is church attendance. Attendance will help you grow in the Lord to be a better believer, but attendance alone will not save you. Many believe if they are a member of the right church or denomination that will get them in. Yet the man in today’s verse never joined a formal church. Others think the sinner’s prayer saves our soul. Yet words without faith do nothing of the sort.
Why was the man on the cross next to Jesus assured a place in paradise? Because he saw Jesus as his Saviour and Redeemer. His heart cried out what his mouth did not say.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

When you look to Jesus, what do you see?

MAY 09, 2022 – Everybody Wants Something

Everybody Wants Something

MAY 09, 2022
Daily Reading – 2 Samuel 4-6 / Luke 23:1-26

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 23:8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When Herod saw Jesus, he was glad. Why was he glad? Was it because he was meeting the Messiah? NO! Would he ask His advice on how to be a better leader? NO! The reason he wanted to see Jesus was to see the show. He heard Jesus had done many miracles and Herod just wanted to see one happen.
Everyone wants something of Jesus. Some want Him to be their bodyguard and just watch out for them when troubles come. Some want Him to be like a grandparent and spoil them with things. Everybody wants something.
Jesus is glad to watch over us and to give us the things we need in life. However, what He wants most of all is for us to just desire an intimate relationship with Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What do you want from Jesus?
