A Crowd Of ONE

APRIL 1, 2026
Daily Reading—Deuteronomy 32–34 /  Luke 5:27-39

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 5:15-16 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

   It seems today the Mega-Church is what everyone craves. The larger congregations have more financial resources to fund bigger stage productions and events; therefore, they receive a lot of attention. I am in no way condemning their efforts to get the gospel out by every means possible. However, Jesus did not desire the presence of a crowd. Jesus enjoyed a Crowd of ONE!

    In today’s verses, we find multitudes of people coming to see Jesus. What did Jesus do? He withdrew to a quiet place to be alone with His Father, God. He knew His best moments were not in the crowd of thousands, but rather in the Crowd of ONE. When the masses go their way, the Crowd of ONE is always there.

Our Reason To Be!

MARCH 31, 2026
Daily Reading—Deuteronomy 29-31 /  Luke 5:1-26

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    Jesus often said, I am here to do ‘my Father’s business’ or ‘the will of Him who sent me.’  Jesus was obedient to all the Father asked of Him. In today’s verse, He tells a group of people who wanted Him to remain and teach them more that He had to go and could not stay. He said, “I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.”

    Today, there are an untold number of Bible studies going on daily. Actually, I think Bible studies are great. However, if all we do is learn more and more but never give out the gospel message, we are not fulfilling the reason we are here. We must, as Jesus did, preach the Kingdom of God to others also. Mark 16:15 says, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” 

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t sharing Christ our reason to be here?

Take Care Of My Son

MARCH 28 & 29, 2026
Daily Reading—Deuteronomy 25-27 /  Luke 3:23-4:13

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

   Three little words in the middle of this verse remind us of the care Joseph gave in raising Jesus. (“As was supposed.”) Everyone around still supposed, after 30 years, that Jesus was Joseph’s son. That would not have happened if Joseph had treated Jesus differently from his other children. Joseph realized his lot in life. To care for, love, and lead Jesus to adulthood. When God chose Joseph to be the stepfather of Jesus, He was in essence saying, Joseph, take care of my Son. Make sure He has a good name in the community.

    When God saved us by giving His Son, Jesus, to die for us, He was kind of telling us the same thing. Take care of my Son’s name in all that you do. Make sure He has a good name in the community.

What are you doing with the name of Jesus today?

     On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in your pastor’s heart. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message.
Then, when you get home, reread those passages for today’s reading.
God has given your pastor exactly what He desires for you to have on that day.

A Light To The Gentiles Too!

MARCH 27, 2026
Daily Reading—Deuteronomy 22-24 /  Luke 3:1-22

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 2:30-32 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

   Being a Christian and believing the Bible is the Word of God has sometimes led people to ask, “Why do you serve the God of the Jews?” Or, “Isn’t the Bible a Jewish book?” The answer is yes; He is a Jewish God, and it is a Jewish book. However, He is also a God of the Gentiles, and this Bible is also a Gentile book.

    In today’s verses, Simeon calls Him, “A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.” He is God to all of humanity. Jews and Gentiles. He was God to all mankind in Genesis before there was a Jewish nation. Remember the Sunday School song, “Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world.”   

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it great to know that God loves you, no matter what nationality you are?

Presented To The Lord

MARCH 26, 2026
Daily Reading—Deuteronomy 18-21 /  Luke 2:25-52

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

   As I read today’s verse, I could not help but think, they presented the Lord our Saviour to the Lord our God. Every firstborn male was called holy before the Lord. They were given back to God at birth to serve Him. It struck me; they presented Jesus, clothed in earthly garments, to God His Father.

    One day, when Jesus returns for His own, He too will present the Church, His bride, to His Father, the Lord God. Presented as holy, without spot and wrinkle, clothed in white robes, which is the righteousness of Himself. One day, the Lord Our Saviour will present us to the Lord Our God. As man presented Jesus before God, Jesus will present man before God.  

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

May we pray today, Lord, forgive and cleanse us of our sin,
that we might be made worthy on that day?
