MARCH 25, 2022 – Before Jesus

Before Jesus

MARCH 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 12-14 / Luke 1:57-80

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 1:76-77 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

In the first chapter of Luke, we find John the Baptist being born. His father, Zacharias, has been mute for the entire pregnancy. As soon as his son is born, God released his tongue to speak. His first words are praise for God. Then he lays out a path of service for his son John toward the Lord. He says, you will go before the Lord to prepare his way and give knowledge of salvation by the remissions of sin.

This is truly our mandate as believers as well. That from the day we accepted Christ as Saviour, we might go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Preparing for the Lord’s return and giving them knowledge of salvation by the remission of their sin through Christ.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Have we answered our call today?

MARCH 24, 2022 – Magnified

Magnified

MARCH 24, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 9-11 / Luke 1:39-56

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When I was a young boy, I remember getting a magnifying glass. I was amazed at how it made everything under it look so big. Things I could hardly see with my natural eye became so evident and clear under the power of this magnifying glass.

Mary, in today’s verse said, “My soul doth magnify the Lord.” Mary was saying, let my life make God look bigger.

That should be our prayer in life as well. Let all that I do make God look bigger. Let my actions, words, and lifestyle bring clearly into view the will of the Lord in whom I rejoice.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

In our life today, how might we be used to magnify the Lord? Will people see Him clearly today because of us?

March 23, 2022 – The Impossible Is Possible

The Impossible Is Possible

March 23, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 6 – 8 / Luke 1:1-38

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” When you say things like this there are always people who ask silly questions. Like, “If God can do anything, can He make a rock so big He cannot lift it.” My answer is, “If He does, I hope He makes it over your head.”

Today’s verse does not challenge God’s powers or abilities. It says man, WITH God, can do anything. First, you need to be WITH GOD. Next, if you were with God, you would never challenge His sovereignty to do His will.

In context, humanity cannot have birth without a male and female contribution. Nor do women after a certain age, naturally give birth. However, with God all of what might seem as impossible, is possible.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What impossible things have come your way?
Are you watching for His miracle-working powers?

March 22, 2022 – Stop The Weeping

Stop The Weeping

MARCH 22, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 4 – 5 / Mark 16

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 16:9-10 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Oh, what sorrow the disciples must have felt. The one they followed, believing him to be the coming Messiah, was murdered and laid to rest in a tomb. Even more than their hopes had been dashed, as Jesus was someone they had truly come to love. Now their friend was gone. Then suddenly Mary burst in the door with the good news message… HE IS ALIVE!

Why do we gather on Sundays to worship our Lord and Saviour? Because on that day He arose from the tomb and we celebrate the fact, HE IS ALIVE! Not only on Easter Sunday, but every Sunday we rejoice as He conquered death hell and the grave. Our great friend, the Messiah who we have come to love, lives!

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Would you invite someone to join you this Sunday for that very celebration of life?

March 21, 2022 – See And Believe

See And Believe

MARCH 21, 2022
Daily Reading – Deuteronomy 2 – 3 / Mark 15:24-47

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

While Jesus was on the cross, many mocked and chanted things to Him. One such group was the Chief Priests and Scribes who said, if you come down off the cross, we will see it and believe. What a huge mistake in eternity that would have been.

If Jesus had come down that day, our sins would not have been paid for. If Jesus had come down, scripture would not have been fulfilled and God would have been made out to be a liar about redemption.

If Jesus had come down, they would still have not believed. How do we know? Jesus has come down as He said. He is alive today, and still people do not believe.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Can we all pray today that many might see and believe?
