Exposed What’s Enclosed
NOVEMBER 6, 2026
Daily Reading—Jeremiah 35-37 / Hebrews 1-2
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Titus 1:15-16 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
In a poll released in 2015 by the Pew Research Center, it was said that since 2007, the share of Americans who say they are “certain” that God exists has dropped by 8%, from 71% to 63%. Those who say they are “religiously affiliated” shrank 6%, from 83% to 77%. Those who consider religion, prayer, bible reading, and church attendance important declined 3-4%. Is it any wonder the United States is in trouble?
Paul warned Titus of this in Titus 1:16: “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” People say they love the Lord, yet live as if He does not matter.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Does how we live expose what’s enclosed in our hearts?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself, what are MY THOUGHTS concerning this passage and today’s devotion?
Within this reading, do I find a CHALLENGE for my life?
What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
