Highly Esteemed Error

APRIL 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Ruth 3-1 Samuel 1 / Luke 16:1-17

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

What is it most people want in life? Some want to be wealthy, while others would love to have prestige. Many people just want things. Boats, cars, houses, etc. None of those things in and of themselves are sinful, until they become the center of your world and things, or positions define you. “Look at me, I must be ok with God, look at all I have, or look at who I am.”

Jesus said, you might justify yourself before men, and you might fool men, but friend, you will never fool God. He knows your heart. If you think somehow, possessions or positions will get you into heaven someday; well, that is a highly esteemed error.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What does God see in your heart when He examines it?

APRIL 23 & 24, 2022 – Sinned Against Heaven

Sinned Against Heaven

APRIL 23 & 24, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 21-Ruth 2 / Luke 15
Daily Reading – No Reading on Sunday

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

The young son in the story has taken his father’s inheritance and wasted it on riotous living. He shamed the father’s name in the marketplace. It was his father who worried about him and watched for his return. However, the unruly son says; “I have sinned against heaven.” Repentance, not to the father, but to God.

Too often, we become sorry because we feel we have hurt someone. Yet a sign of true repentance is when we realize, all that a man has and is, comes from God. When the son broke his dad’s heart, it broke God’s heart. David said the same thing in Psalms 51:4, “Against thee, thee ONLY, have I sinned,”

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Do we realize how much God loves man, his creation,
and that when we hurt man, we sin against God?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

APRIL 22, 2022 – Fill The House

Fill The House

APRIL 22, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 19-20 / Luke 14

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Imagine you have been invited to a big fancy dinner. Important dignitaries are coming. Your favorite sports heroes and movie stars will also be there. You are told you can bring as many people as you can, but there is a deadline, so you must do so quickly. You ask, “When is the deadline.” And they reply, “We cannot tell you, so get busy right away, it may be soon.” WOW!

Today God is preparing the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Jesus Christ is being honored and you are invited to come. Not only that, you may bring as many people as you can, but there is an undisclosed deadline. The dinner is almost ready. God wants His house full and is asking you to fill it. No one will be turned away if they accept the invitation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Who are you going to call and invite? When will you begin?

APRIL 21, 2022 – All The Children Of The World

All The Children Of The World

APRIL 21, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 16-18 / Luke 13:18-35

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

We have a world that is in chaos. Wars are being fought daily all around us. Crime and deadly diseases plague our nations. People cannot agree on why we have all the weather phenomena’s and argue over the data. It seems that we might never get along.

However, in today’s verse it says people from the east, west, north, and south will all sit down together in the kingdom of God. Yes, there will be people from every nation and every race sitting together. All with the love of God in their hearts toward Him, and toward one another. We are all God’s children. It reminds me of a little song that we sang in Sunday School. Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you pray today for all the children of the world?

APRIL 20, 2022 – Except Ye Repent

Except Ye Repent

APRIL 20, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 12-15 / Luke 13:1-17

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 13:2-3 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

There is a teaching in some churches today called the “Grace Movement.” The belief is that it is by Grace you are saved and nothing else. While I do believe Ephesians 2:8 when it says, “For by grace are ye saved”, the next two words say, “through faith.” It is our faith in Jesus who died on the cross to pay the price for our sin that saves us. Not our faith in Jesus, that He was Jesus. If that were true, He would not have had to die.

Jesus did not die to free you from sin so you could remain in your sin. To repent means to turn away or turn around. Friend, “Except ye repent,” turn away from your sin and to Jesus, you will die in your sin. Jesus and sin are not in the same place. Our verse today says, “ye shall likewise perish.”

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Are you walking toward Jesus, or toward Sin?
