AUGUST 2, 2022 – Let There Be No Proof

  Let There Be No Proof

AUGUST 2, 2022
Daily Reading – Job 35-38 / Acts 25

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 25:7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Paul was accused of many things by those who did not like him or what he believed in. However, the facts did not show any proof of the accusations made.
Today there are a lot of people who are making false claims about Christians. The world claims that we hate abortionists. That is not true. What we cannot stand is the sin of abortion and murder. They say we hate drunkards. That is not true. What we are hurt over is the violation of God’s Word on the matter.
The world thinks we hate homosexuals, drug addicts, prostitutes, etc. Oh, how I pray that when the facts are revealed they might find NO PROOF of any such thing. We should find sin sickening, but the sinner loved by God and by us.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Did we forget that we are sinners too?

AUGUST 1, 2022 – This I Confess

  This I Confess

AUGUST 1, 2022
Daily Reading – Job 32-34 / Acts 24

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 24:14-15 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Has anyone ever put you on the spot and asked you what you believe? Wow, what a deep and diverse answer many might give. However, I think Paul does a good job of answering this in just a few lines. He said, I believe in the written Word of God, and believe in a resurrection for all who have ever lived.
Does not that explain what we confess to believe? I believe the Word of God. That Jesus, the prophesied Messiah came to pay sins debt for all who will confess their faith in Him.

I also believe in a resurrection for all. A resurrection for the just, saved by faith in Christ, unto life eternal. For the unjust, or those who never confessed faith in Christ, unto everlasting punishment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This is what I confess to believe. What about you?

JULY 30 & 31, 2022 – I Pledge Allegiance

  I Pledge Allegiance

JULY 30 & 31, 2022
Daily Reading – Job 30-31 / Acts 23

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

In Act 23, I see in the soldiers, a quality all believers should have. Verse 23 says the captain, “…called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;” In verse 31 it says they did as it was commanded. Why? ALLEGIANCE!
People today say that they pledge allegiance to many things. We pledge allegiance to the flag and the nation for which it stands. Then when things get rough, you hear public figures saying they are moving to another country. As Christians, we pledged our allegiance to God when He saved our souls.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

So, when things get rough, do we run to, or away from God?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

JULY 29, 2022 – Do You Hear Him?

  Do You Hear Him?

JULY 29, 2022
Daily Reading – Job 26-29 / Acts 22

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

I believe the saddest verse in Acts 22 is verse 9. Here Paul re-tells of when God first spoke to him. He says all the men who were with him, “saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.” How sad, to be so close to the presence of God, and not hear Him.
I am afraid many people in the world today see the light of God as it glows in the hearts and lives of believers around them, yet they never hear the voice of God. They may see His light in the glow of church members, but never truly hear His voice. They read the words on the pages of scripture, yet never really hear His voice. Oh, friend listen, pray, ask God through the Holy Spirit to speak clearly to your heart daily.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you be still enough today and hear Him speak?

JULY 28, 2022 – The Missions Report

  The Missions Report

JULY 28, 2022
Daily Reading – Job 21-25 / Acts 21:18-40

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 21:18-19 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present. And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Paul had come back to tell the others what God had done through him on his missions’ journey. The believers listened with great curiosity to hear what God had done. Paul shared every detail, one by one of the works of the Lord and the people rejoiced to hear it.
Today, we have Missionaries all over the world. Ambassadors of Christ, and also Ambassadors of the church, going into all the world to preach gospel of our loving Saviour. If we knit our hearts to theirs in prayer, then reading the letters of report and seeing these missionaries in person when they come back brings great joy as we hear what God is doing through these faithful friends

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you lift a missionary to the Lord in prayer
and join your heart to theirs today?
