Was It Worth It To Them

OCTOBER 22 & 23, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 53-58 / 1 Thess. 3-4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Being present at the birth of all my children, I can say as an eyewitness there is true pain in childbirth. No Ladies, I am not saying I know what it feels like, nor do I want to. However, I can tell you what it looks like. NOT GOOD! Yet, when this miracle of God’s grace is placed in the arms of a mother who just went through this pain, there is also real joy. Did it make the pain less real? NO, it just somehow seemed worth it.
Paul here is telling the church; I am suffering real pain. He said in verse 4 I told you this would happen. Yet in today’s verses it says when I look at what you have become in Christ, it is all worth it.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Which made me wonder, when the person who led us to the Lord or brought us to Church looks at us, does our life tell them all they endured may be worth it?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

OCTOBER 21, 2022 – You CAN Take It With You

You CAN Take It With You

OCTOBER 21, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 49-52 / 1 Thess. 1-2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Have you ever heard, “You cannot take it with you when you die.” People quote verses like 1 Timothy 6:7 which says, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” While that is true when it comes to earthly items, there is something you can gather on earth today and have with you when you get to heaven. It’s SAVED PEOPLE!
Paul told the church in Thessalonica that those who trusted in Christ would be his crown of rejoicing. When? When he stood in the presence of Jesus at His coming. Therefore, there is something you can collect on earth to take with you in heaven. Christian family and friends you have won to Christ.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

How many have you gathered to take along with you?

May I Have A Drink Please

OCTOBER 20, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 45-48 / Col. 4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Some years ago, a potato chip manufacturer advertised, “No one can eat just one.” Oh, how true it was. That salty little chip tasted so good that whenever you ate one, you wanted another and another and another. However, eating those salty chips would soon cause another craving, a drink of refreshing water.
Paul encourages us today to let our speech be with grace. Not harmful or hateful, but rather showing a true loving concern for others. Also, to season it with salt. In other words, our conversation should be a well- seasoned language, mature, and helpful. This speech will make them thirsty for the Water of life Jesus mentioned in John 4:14.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Does what you say about Christ make them say,
“May I have a drink please?”

OCTOBER 19, 2022 – Put Your Name Badge On

  Put Your Name Badge On

OCTOBER 19, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 42-44 / Col. 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When doing industrial work, a few others and I were sent to South Carolina to represent the company. They paid for the tickets, meals, and every aspect of the trip. Before leaving, they said, “Enjoy yourselves, take in some sites, etc. One stipulation, please wear your name badge with the company logo and name at all times.” They added, “Remember, everything you do, say, and everywhere you go, will reflect on our company so think about how you conduct yourself.”
Believer, we are walking around daily wearing the name badge of Christ for the entire world to see. We must remember that everything we do, and say, and everywhere we go reflects on Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

So, with your Christian name badge on, what will you do today?

OCTOBER 18, 2022 – Take Root And Move

  Take Root And Move

OCTOBER 18, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 40-41 / Col. 2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Colossians 2:6-7 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When we think of things rooted, our thoughts often go to plant life. The deeper the roots, the sturdier they become. Harsh winds may blow, yet these deeply rooted plants are not moved. Or are they? We may not notice it, yet these firmly rooted plants are moving with the earth’s rotation. Also, the earth is moving, orbiting around the sun. Rooted well, and yet moving.
Much like the hardy plant life, we as believers must also be rooted in Christ Jesus. Built upon Him as our rock of foundation. Having our faith established in the teaching of His Word. When this is true, we abound, live, and move in Him. Being led by Christ, brings about thanksgiving.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Friend, is your life moving with, or apart from Christ? Are you Rooted and moving?
