OCTOBER 28, 2022 – Who Is Looking For A Job

Who Is Looking For A Job

OCTOBER 28, 2022
Daily Reading – Jer. 7-9 / 1 Tim. 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Timothy 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

With the job market so volatile at times, I often hear people say, “There are no Jobs out there.” I beg to differ with you. There are thousands of churches in the United States without a Pastor. There are many foreign fields without a missionary. There are plenty of jobs in the ministry, but be advised, IT IS WORK!
Paul told Timothy the office of Bishop was a good work, and it still is today. However, do not be deceived, it is work. It is a 24/7 job with many trials and sacrifices along the way. Yet it is also the most rewarding calling in the world. You are allowed to help people in their walk on earth, lead them to Christ, and then know you will be together in heaven forever.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

So, let me ask again, Who is looking for a really good work?

OCTOBER 27, 2022 – What Is The Will Of God

What Is The Will Of God

OCTOBER 27, 2022
Daily Reading – Jer. 4-6 / 1 Tim. 1-2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

What is the will of God? This question has plagued the mind of many a believer. While it is true that God’s thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), it is not true that we cannot know God’s will in many areas. One thing we know for sure is that it is God’s desire for all people to be saved. Not a few, not a select group, not one nationality or gender, but ALL.
Another part of the “will” questions is, “what is God’s will for my life?” Again, complex in some areas, yet we do know, it is God’s will for us to help Him fulfill His will. His will is for people to be saved, and He gave us the tools to help. Romans 1:16 says the gospel is the power of God to save anyone who believes. However, someone must tell them.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will that someone be you?

OCTOBER 26, 2022 – The Lord Is Faithful

  The Lord Is Faithful

OCTOBER 26, 2022
Daily Reading – Jer. 1-3 / 2 Thess.3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

There is a lot of talk today about being people of faith. Believers ought to be people of faith. However, into what are we putting that faith? Non-believers of Christ can also be people of faith. Yet, they put their faith in false gods or idols. Some, who call themselves Atheists, put faith in themselves as if they were a god.
To be a person of faith and be a Christian is to put our faith in One who can fulfill our faith. That is the difference for us as believers in Christ and the world. Faithful means trustworthy, believable, something true and sure. We have a Lord who is faithful. God is all those things to us. He fulfils our faith. So where have you placed your faith?

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Is your faith in God who is faithful,
or self and the world built on shifting sand?

OCTOBER 25, 2022 – Faithful Or Falling Away

  Faithful Or Falling Away

OCTOBER 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 63-66 / 2 Thess. 1-2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

As we read our Bible, we find that God presents life as choices between one thing or another. We can only choose to go to Heaven or Hell. We have the option to do Right or Wrong, often by choosing between Good and Evil. Where we will spend eternity depend on if we are Saved or Lost. And the dying church today depends on if people are Faithful or Falling away.
The struggle in getting people to be faithful to God’s house and to look forward to fellowshipping with God’s people, should not surprise us. The Bible warned us this would happen. The surprise is it is happening in our churches and lifetime. Another surprise is seeing who it is that are falling away.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

As God examines your life, are you part of
the faithful, or the falling away?

OCTOBER 24, 2022 – All Still Means All

  All Still Means All

OCTOBER 24, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 59-62 / 1 Thess. 5

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

It appears today that many Christians seem to think it really does not matter what they do, where they go, what they say, or with whom they associate. Thinking, “since I know I am saved, what does the rest really matter?” It matters because it matters to God. How we conduct our self reflects directly on what we say Christ means to us. Sin is not always the question. It is how does the world see us in light of who we claim to be.
God used Paul to tell the Church, if something looks like it might be wrong, just do not do it. All still means all. Not, “is it wrong.” Is it possible for the lost world to perceive it to be wrong, and therefore maybe reject Christ? How do we appear to this lost and dying world?

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Better yet, how does Christ appear through us?
