Building A Place For God

June 13, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Psalm 132:3-5
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

Finding a place for God to dwell. What a noble goal to somehow produce a place to house our God. To show such love for Him, that we would desire to provide Him a place to live. But then again, what materials would you use to make it?

David desired to build such a place, but God said no. Instead, God declared that David’s son Solomon would be the one to build it. Therefore, since David could not build it himself, he began preparing for the day when his son would build it. He secured access to the finest lumber and materials anyone could imagine. Was this good enough to be the dwelling place for our God? A place built out of trees and golden rocks that God Himself had created and formed. Does not the God of Heaven deserve more?

Mary and Joseph looked for a place for the Lord and found a humble manger, where they placed Baby Jesus. It was the best they could provide. Yet, this surely would not be a fitting place for the King of all Kings.

Nevertheless, God did dwell in the temple made by human hands and God did dwell in the manger bed. Why? He dwelt there because He chose to. He desired to be there to be close to people just like us. In addition, today He will take up residence in a new temple which you can prepare for Him. The temple He longs to reside in today is your heart. So, what type of place then are you making for the Lord of all Lords to live in? Since it is your heart, only you can clean it up for the Saviour of all humanity.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

In 2 Corinthians 6:16 it says, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

What does God’s residence look like today?

Everyone Is Busy Doing Something
June 12, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

1 Chronicles 23:3-5
Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand. Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges: Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

All the Levite Priests were numbered. What does that really mean? It means they were each counted and placed with a group of men who had the same function in the House of the Lord as they did. For example, some who served in the Lord’s house were called to study and teach. Some we see were called to council with others as officers and judges in the House of the Lord. Some of the priests were porters, better known as gatekeepers. These men allowed access to areas and restricted access to other areas of the temple. On some occasions, these men were the collectors of the tithes and the money, which was brought into the temple. Some of the priests were designated to be musicians. Their responsibility was to bring musical praise to our Lord. Every priest was given something to do. No one was allowed to do nothing.

Nothing much has changed over all these years, except now you are part of God’s Royal priesthood according to 1 Peter 2:9. It is your responsibility to be busy with the work of the Lord. Not one person is expected to do nothing. Every believer is gifted to do something. What gift did God give you?

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

You might begin today and pray, “Oh Lord make me the best at what I do for you right now” or “Give me something to do to glorify you oh Lord.” Let’s be busy about our Heavenly Father’s business.

What will you be busy doing for the Lord today?

Everyone Gets A Reward

June 11, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

2 Peter 2:13
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

The Bible speaks of Jesus presenting to God His Father a Bride without spot or wrinkle. Unblemished. Many of us look at our lives and ask how this can be. I know that within me there are what could be considered spots and wrinkles. Well, if it were only about just you, or just me there would be a problem. However, this is not speaking of personal sanctification only. It is about Bridal Sanctification. You are part of the Bride of Christ if you know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and you are made righteous in Him. This is not only personal perfection, but also Bridal Perfection as well.

Does this give you the liberty to live any way you want to? YES. IT DOES. The question that must be asked is, how then do you WANT to live? Rewards are awaiting the Bride in Heaven. There are also rewards here and now for a life lived for Christ today. Yet, if you want to live like the world, act like the world, and look like the world, you are more than likely of the world. Nevertheless, the Bible tells of rewards for you too. However, they are not particularly good rewards. Today’s verse calls them the rewards of unrighteousness. Oh yes… and none of these rewards will be found in Heaven either.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Do not play games with God. He knows if you are for real or just pretending. He knows, and you know. In addition, the Bible is written so we all can know. 1 John 5:13 says, These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Do you know that you have ETERNAL LIFE?

You Are Influencing Someone

June 10, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

1 Chronicles 19:2
And David said, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

“It is my life, and I will live it however I choose.” Have you ever heard something like this? How about, “I can do whatever I please; who is it hurting anyway?” Some people feel as though they live in a vacuum. That what they do or say has no effect on them or anyone else. The truth is our actions and words not only affect us but also include those people around us, the people we are associated with, our family, and more.

In today’s verse, we find that David was being kind to Hanun not because of who he was, but because of his father’s kindness toward him. It has been said that every person in the world has some type of influence on about 250 people. If this is true and those 250 people have influence on 250 each, and those 250 will then influence 250 more, well you can see where that is going. You may well have an impact on thousands of lives whom you have never encountered. What you do, say, and who you are matters. It matters to lots of people. Most importantly, it matters to God.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Ask yourself this question. If I had a son or daughter and people treated them according to how I have treated others, how then would people treat my children? You are influencing someone.

What influence will you have on others today?

Miracles Are All Around Us.

June 9, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Psalm 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

Miracles, Signs, Wonders, Marvelous Things. These statements are often used when something happens that we cannot explain, or if it seems to be divinely given. People have flocked from all over the world to see what is believed to be the apparitions of Mother Mary in everything from window glass, statues of her crying what many have claimed to be real tears, pieces of wood which appeared to have her picture in its grain naturally, and the list goes on and on. People flock into the so-called Miracle Crusades of Evangelists such as Benny Hinn to witness what they believe might be a miracle.

However, true miracles seem to go unnoticed every single day. In fact, some feel they have the right to erase these miracles from the pages of history. What am I referring to? Children. The greatest of all miracles next to salvation I believe must be the birth of a new life into this world. God sends to us what He calls a heritage of the Lord. In other words, as an inheritance from God, He has entrusted these little children to us.

So, what are we doing with His little children? Can we erase them from history with abortion? No, we have simply sent them back to the one who entrusted us with them to begin with. History is HIS Story. It is a story God is telling over time. How disappointed He must be to have the gifts He has given to us with love, returned as unloved by us. In addition, we ourselves were once the same gift given with love to another. I imagine you are glad God’s gift of you was not returned.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Pray today for your children and the children of others. Thank God for the little miracles sitting at the dinner tables all around the world tonight. Pray they receive all the love and care God intended for them to have. Miracles are all around us.

When you think of miracles today, what comes to your mind?
