It’s A Disguise
SEPTEMBER 26 & 27, 2026
Daily Reading—Ecc. 5-6 / Gal. 1
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Corinthians 11:13-14 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
The autumn season has crept into our lives. The air is a bit crisper, daylight dwindles, and the leaves on the trees turn color to beautify this time of year. It is time to prepare for the winter ahead. However, before Winter arrives, on Oct. 31, many will get dressed up in disguises and go trick-or-treating for Halloween.
When I read Paul’s warning about false apostles and deceitful workers transforming themselves, I am reminded of these little children in disguises. The word “transforming” in 2 Cor. 11:13-15 means they disguised themselves. Paul warned the church then, as God warns us today: do not be fooled by fancy disguises. Measure everything by God’s Word.

Will you be fooled by the world’s tricks with no lasting treat?

What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
