I Don’t Have To Give, I Get To

Daily Reading—Ecc. 3-4 / 2 Co. 13
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
God has been so kind to me in that He has given me a loving wife. She shows me her love in so many ways. She is concerned when I am hurt or worried. She helps in areas where I need help. She encourages me when I am down and brings me back to earth when my head gets off in the clouds. To buy or give her something within my means is not a chore; it brings me nothing but great joy. Everything I am or have is greatly due to who she is and has been with me on this journey.
That is also how I feel about God. All that my wife is to me, God is also, and greater. Everything I am and have is totally due to who He has been to me on this journey. To give something to Him of time, talent, or treasure is not a chore; it brings me nothing but great joy.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Why would I not cheerfully give to Him?
