You Are The Temple
SEPTEMBER 22, 2026
Daily Reading—Pro. 28-29 / 2 Co. 9-10
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
When Paul wrote this to the church in Corinth, it was not hard for them to visualize what he was saying. There was a separate temple that contained an idol for almost every false god that the Romans had. People would go into the temple and bow down before it, sacrifice to it, and bring gifts to this idol. Paul said, Your God does not live in a building; He lives in you.
Christians have the same God today. He lives in the heart of each of us who has accepted Jesus as Saviour. As the verse says, God dwells in us, walks with us, sees what we see, and hears what we hear. You are the temple that God resides in.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
So, here’s a question for you: where are you taking God today?
What will you make Him hear and see with you?
