When Did Life Become New

Daily Reading—Pro. 26-27 / 2 Co. 8
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
This is one of those verses that had a big impact on my life. I had been brought up to believe that once I was saved, I was always saved. I still believe that, with one clause. YOU MUST KNOW YOU ARE SAVED!
As a young boy, I said a prayer along with others my age, was told I was saved, and was baptized. For the next twenty years, I lived like the world. When I walked an aisle in my late twenties, I thought I had rededicated my life to the Lord. That was until this verse began to plague me. I could not get the question out of my mind. When did things in my life become new? I realized it was in my twenties when I went forward. Old things, such as language, desires, and habits, had less of an appeal.
