KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Psalm 33:6
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth
.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

I get such a kick out of people who try extremely hard to justify the theory that creation and evolution co-exist in the Bible. They will try to make you believe the idea that there may have been hundreds of years between each of the created days. They suggest that it was during this extended period between each of the days is when evolution took place. That the stars and planets were bouncing off one another and changing into what we see today.

However, all of that contradicts what it says here in Psalm 33:6. Both here, and in Genesis 1 the Bible clearly says He spoke all of our solar system into existence. All of which we now see with our eyes was created by God to show us His wonder, His glory, and His awesome power.

The same breath He used to create all the stars, planets, and solar systems, He also used to breathe life into man and speak peace to our souls. What a wonderful and marvelous God He is

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Tonight, as you look into the sky and see all the stars and planets God has made, thank Him for His awesome display of love written in the vastness of space. Let it remind you each and every day of the mighty works of a God. Remember also, the mighty work that God did in your heart when He saved you from your sin. That work my friend was just as majestic.

Would you stop tonight and thank God
for all His wonderful creations?”

Will Your Vote Matter?

January 29, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

The Bible has once again pointed out a fact that we all see played out in today’s world. When good men are in authority, people rejoice. Putting it simply, God blesses men who love Him and attempt to do His will. Because God blesses these righteous leaders, then all who are under the authority of this righteous leader will also receive the benefits of those blessings.

The problem we have in today’s society seems to be the same problem the children of Israel had. We are doing just as they did when we forget where all good things come from. Once we begin to prosper from the blessing of God toward a righteous leader, we become content and happy, and we forget. We forget to keep the righteous person in authority. We allow those with perverted views of Biblical morals to have the rule over us. Even worse, we vote them in.

As Christians, we need to stand up for God’s Word. Not just at home, but also in the church, the neighborhood, and at work or school. We must also stand up for God’s truths in the voting booth. Even though no one else sees what you do on that ballot, God sees it.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Pray for the leadership over you today. If they are not saved, pray someone will reach them with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray they will have the courage to stand up for what is right. This is truly a bipartisan action. We need to pray for ALL the leaders of this great land, regardless of party affiliation.

What’s On Your Banner?

January 22, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Matthew 27:37
And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

Children can seem so cruel at times just by being honest. They do not mean to be cruel, and really, they are usually just telling the truth. When a child is asked a question like, “Do you want to grow up to be like me?” They may come back with an answer such as, “No way, you are ______.” You fill in the blank. Fat, bald, skinny, tall, short, have the wrong color hair, etc. Just whatever characteristic comes to their innocent mind, that at this point in their young life, they do not see as a positive.

When Pilot wrote the charge against Jesus in three languages and hung it above His head, it was meant to be an accusation against Him. “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” Instead, it spelled out exactly who He was, is, and always will be. These few words became a banner over Him, rather than an accusation against Him.

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

As you go through your life as a Christian and people mock you for reading your Bible at work, praying before you eat, or inviting people to attend church with you, just remember, what the world means to be ridiculed, are banners of Honor over you before a Holy God. Wear your banners with pride. Always remember who you are in Christ Jesus.

As the world looks at you today,
what are they writing on your banners?

God Made A Promise

January 15, 2025

KEY FROM GOD’S WORD:

Genesis 28:15
And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

THOUGHTS ON GOD’S WORD:

Has anyone ever made you a promise and then not come through? How upsetting. But what if things became even worse? What if someone promised you something, and based on his or her promise, you promised someone else something? Then, when the original promise fell through, what you promised also fell through. Now to those you promised, you seem untrustworthy, even though it was partially out of your control. Sort of gets you upset just thinking about it.

In our passage today, we see God made a promise to Jacob. God promised to help, keep, and be with Jacob until He, God, had finished the work He planned for him. Furthermore, as we study the rest of the Bible, we find God kept His Word to Jacob. In fact, we find that God always keeps all His promises.

Wouldn’t it be nice if God would whisper something like this in your ear? A promise to finish everything He has planned for you in your life. Life might be easier to live if we only knew God was going to finish in us what he started. I have some great news for you. In the New Testament, we find God does say exactly that. Philippians 1:6, says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

CARRYING THAT THOUGHT THROUGH THE DAY:

Live your life today knowing God is working in and through you. Today God wants to use you to complete a part of His overall plan for this world. You are a very big and vital part of it. If God has become the Lord of your life, He has begun a good work in you. His Word says He will finish that work. That is a promise.

Does God’s promise for your life help you live for Him today?
