What’s Up With All The Laws?

April 06, 2020

DAILY PROVERBS:

Proverbs 8:26-28 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

OUTLOOK ON THE IN BOOK:

Have you ever stopped to wonder what might happen, if God tossed out the laws? What if God decided one day, “let’s toss out a law, and see what happens?”

Let’s start with the law of gravity. Now that sounds sort of like fun, to be floating around from place to place. We see the astronauts do it on TV, and that kind of looks like fun. However, we forget too soon, what Astronauts do is within a controlled area. What would happen if God did away with the law of gravity completely? One thing would be that the pull of the different amounts of gravitation from the other planets would vanish, and by the way, it would destroy our solar system

Floating around seems like fun until you remember, there would be nothing to stop you from floating right off into space. Who knows where you’d end up, or how fast would you go. Gravity helps control speed also. If there were no gravity… WHOOSH… Off you go at speeds your body could not handle.

Eliminating just one law changes everything. There are also laws of Physics, and laws of Molecular Structure. Without them, medicine would not be effective. There are also the laws of Nature that God put in place. What would it be like if you planted a tulip bulb, and when it blossomed, you had poison ivy? How about if your dog got pregnant, and delivering a litter of rattlesnakes in your home?

The Bible says, God set a compass upon the earth, established the clouds, and set all things in order. They are a controlling set of laws by which even those who hate God, and despise His name, still benefit from and are blessed by Him.

THE WORD WALKING IN ME:

The next time you come to a stop sign, STOP, then take a moment to thank God for his wisdom, and His love, in providing all the laws He made to bless, and protect your life.

Let’s Make A Planet Earth

April 03, 2020

DAILY PROVERBS:

Proverbs 8:23-25 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

OUTLOOK ON THE IN BOOK:

How hard would it be, if you could be God, to make a world? We already know He spoke all things into existence. So just how hard could it possibly be?

Let’s see, where should we begin? Ok, I’ll just say the word, “Earth.” Poof, there’s a swirling, out of control, round piece of dirt, with no boundaries. We have a planet, bouncing around everywhere because there’s nothing holding it in place. In fact there is no outer space for it to be in. It’s just out there. Therefore, I’ll say space. Now we have a multibillion-mile atmosphere for this hunk of round dirt to float around in. How can we keep it in one place all the time? Oh yes, I’ll say, “Gravity.” CRASH! There goes my hunk of dirt. It caved in on itself. All the gravity sucked it in on top of itself because there was nothing else to pull on it from the other direction to keep an implosion from happening. Centrifugal force, I’ll start this hunk of dirt spinning so that gravity can’t pull it in on itself. Whoosh there it goes, spinning and rolling all the way across the universe. OK, so I need to create a system so this does not happen. I’ll call it a solar system, and place other swirling hunks of dirt around it. I’ll also put a gas ball right in the middle to give it light, and heat. The “Earth Ball” should be the most important so I’ll put it closest to the gas ball. FLASH! Opps, that’s a bit too hot. The Earth ball burnt up. Maybe I need to move it out a little. Three, or four dirt balls from the gas ball. And the process goes on and on… Not a simple as we thought.

OK, we know God didn’t create the earth this way. He had a plan from the beginning, and knew how it should be put together before He spoke the first word. What God has created from the beginning, has worked perfectly for centuries.

THE WORD WALKING IN ME:

Godly wisdom originally created, and keeps the earth from self-destruction. Why, God had a plan for it from the beginning. Godly wisdom also created, and keeps you. He has always had a plan for you too. Shouldn’t we find, and follow that plan? We can you know. It’s writing in His Word.

Outlasting Gold And Silver Investments

April 02, 2020

DAILY PROVERBS:

Proverbs 8:19-22 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

OUTLOOK ON THE IN BOOK:

I found the money verses. These are the verses that must prove the prosperity preachers are right! RIGHT? WRONG! You might say; but the verses speak of prosperity when they say plainly, “I will fill their treasures,” and they will, “inherit substance,” and you would be right and wrong.

You have all the words, but as so often happens, the phrases are out of context, in the wrong order, and a very important part is left out.

These verses are talking about the fruit of wisdom. Fruit is what comes forth after a tree has matured, and begins to share with those around what it was designed to share. If you graft a cherry tree branch, and a pear tree branch, onto an apple tree, when they bring forth fruit, guess what? They’ll bring forth what they were designed to produce. Cherries and pears, not apples.

Christians are designed to produce Christians. When grafted into Christ we should produce fruit. That fruit is better than all the gold and silver in the world.

Wisdom leads in the way of righteousness, even in the middle of a judgmental world. Godly wisdom leads to Christ. In addition, those who love God, should inherit substance, FRUIT, believers. When you get to heaven, you’re not going to be looking for the Heavens Savings and Loan Company to take out a loan, or to put your money in. It won’t be there. It won’t matter to you. What you will be looking for is the true treasures of life. Loved ones who are there with you for all eternity.

THE WORD WALKING IN ME:

As you look around you today, look at all the real treasures God has given you. They are the children, spouse, parents, and friends who love the Lord. Also, do you see the harvest fields? They are those people who do not know the Lord. There is still time to inherit “inherit substance,” real substance.

APRIL 01, 2020 – How Early Is Early?

How Early Is Early?

April 01, 2020

DAILY PROVERBS:

Proverbs 8:15-18 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

OUTLOOK ON THE IN BOOK:

I’m sure you’ve heard preachers say, a person should arise early in the morning to read God’s Word, and have a quiet time with Him. Some of you may wonder why they suggest getting started in the morning. In today’s verses Solomon, who is still speaking on wisdom, says; “those that seek me early shall find me.” So, exactly what did Solomon mean when he said “early”?

First, I too am one of those preachers who believe putting God first in your day is very important. It gets you in the right frame of mind first thing in the day, to be all that God desires for you to be. It gives you an entire day to ponder on what you read in His Word, and the things you prayed about at that time. It’s a special time of day when things are not so hustle bustle.

However, seeking God and His wisdom early, may also refer to seeking God first in everything. Putting God in the front of every decision made in your life. Considering God, and His will early in everything you do is also vitally important.

Another way of seeking God early would be finding the wisdom in God’s Word, and applying it to your life at an early age. Many of us have waited until later in life to receive the joys, and benefits of knowing God. His blessings are not only waiting for us someday, but are here today. God’s desire is not to bless us some day. God’s wisdom is a blessing every day. Helping us make Godly decisions that keep us from harm and sin. There are the blessings of His touch in our life, a verse spoken into our heart, and friends in a time of need. God loves those who love Him, and He shows His love in so many ways.

THE WORD WALKING IN ME:

The love of God is not something we are waiting for. It’s something we experience day by day. Arise; put God first, early in your life, and early in your day. Enjoy the Christ filled life He desires for you to have.
