Whom Do You Fear Most?

Daily Reading – Numbers 21-22 / Mark 11

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 11:31-32 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

      Isn’t it amazing how far psychologically we have NOT come? You would think after thousands of years of God proving Himself in so many ways to be real, reliable, and also righteous, that we would choose God over man every time.

      The problem is people want God to be a loving God, and He is, but they do not want Him to be a righteous God, because that means He must judge sin. Then, just as the people in today’s text, too often we are more concerned with what man may think of us, than what God already knows about us.

      It is time we begin to show some Holy Fear. Another way to say that would be we should show reverence toward a Holy God.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Are not what God thinks more important
than what people may or may not think?

Not Everyone Makes It

Daily Reading – Numbers 19-20 / Mark 10:32-52


WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

      There is a mindset today, which claims that everyone is going to heaven. Even many religious leaders in recent years have said that even atheists who do good will get into heaven. Their reasoning is that Jesus died to redeem us all.

     While in essence, it is true that Jesus died to redeem the world, Jesus says in today’s verse He was giving his life a ransom for many, but not all.

      The lie being told to the world today, that they do not have to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Saviour, is sending untold millions to hell with a false hope. Jesus is still the only way to Heaven.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

    How can we better get the truth of the gospel out into a lost and confused world?

Love The Little Children

MARCH 9, 2022
Daily Reading – Numbers 16-18 / Mark 10:1-31

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 10:13-14 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.


WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

     Oh, the hallowed halls of the church house. Dare not the children speak too loudly, run, or Lord forbid he or she might whistle.

    I have been in churches where this is the case. Most of these churches today have no children left because of the churches “children are to be seen and not heard,” policies.

    I am not advocating letting children do as they please and never teaching them to mind. I am however saying, THEY ARE CHILDREN!

    Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. It is still true today. We need to love them to Jesus, not herd them like cattle.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What might you do this week at your church to let the children know they are loved by you, the church, and most of all by God?

What’s Better?

Daily Reading – Numbers 15 / Mark 9:30-50

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

      Choices. We make them every day. What to wear or to eat? How long is too long to stare at yourself in the mirror before it seems weird? (OK, maybe the last one is just weird.) However, you get the idea. Daily we make choices. Some more complicated than others.

      Today’s verse tells us of a choice that should be easy, yet many make the wrong choice. It is a matter of what is best, some earthly thing, or God?

     Sadly, many choose earthly things, forsaking God. You can only have one God. God says, He must be first, above all else, your only God.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What can you think of that
others have chosen over God?
Is it possible they may think
we have chosen something else too?

Help My Unbelief

Daily Reading – Numbers 12-14 / Mark 9:1-29

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    Jesus just told this man, I can do what you ask, if you will believe. Believe! Believe what? Believe He is Jesus, the Son of God? Believe He can do Miracles? Believe He can do anything? The answer is yes to all this.

    The man cries out something we all should acknowledge. “I believe, help thou mine unbelief.” Saying, I believe, I know you are the Christ, but there are areas in my heart where I struggle with my faith.

    This man wanted God’s help so much; he was willing to admit he needed help with his faith. He also cried out to the only one who could help with his faith.

     Real faith comes from God. Friend, we too need God’s help in our daily lives. We should pray, God I believe, please help me where my faith may be weak. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you believe God can and will help you with your faith?
