APRIL 16 & 17, 2022 – Let God Wash The Inside

Let God Wash The Inside

APRIL 16 & 17, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 6-7 / Luke 11:29-54
Daily Reading – No Reading on Sunday

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 11:39-40 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

We may have all read this before and wondered why it is that the Pharisees did not clean the inside as well as the outside. When we think of a cup, we might think that is possible, but how do you clean the inside of a platter? The answer is obvious, you cannot.

When men try to clean the inside of their lives on their own, they also find that obviously they cannot. Only God can clean the inside of our lives. Only a repentant humbled heart, yielded to God can be cleansed. We can wash the exterior, but only God can wash the sin away from the heart. According to 1 John 1:9, we all need to be run through God’s rinse cycle on occasion.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Have you let God wash the inside of your life,
making it fresh, and clean lately?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

APRIL 15, 2022 – The Best Gift

The Best Gift

APRIL 15, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 3-5 / Luke 11:1-28

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Children sometime will open a gift at Christmas and suddenly get all excited. That is until they see some other children open a different gift and then they want that one instead. Even adults often think what someone else received was the better gift than theirs.

However, after Christ, the greatest gift ever given was given by God. It is the same gift for every believer. It is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit indwelling us, we are not saved.

The Holy Spirit empowers us with our spiritual gift. The Holy Spirit comforts and convicts us as needed. The Holy Spirit helps us in our prayer life and so much more. This is truly the best gift anyone can ever receive.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Did you get your gift from God?
Did you thank Him?

APRIL 14, 2022 – Active, Busy, And Lonely

Active, Busy, And Lonely

APRIL 14, 2022
Daily Reading – Judges 1-2/ Luke 10:25-42

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Poor Martha, she felt as many of us who serve the Lord has felt at times. Nobody is helping me. Nobody cares. Nobody sees the work that needs to be done. I am all alone. God why don’t you make them help me.

Well, there is a lot of apathy toward the work of the Lord today, that is true. Yet sometimes we miss the best, by doing the good. We begin to look at the work more than we look at the one we are working for. We get our eyes off the Saviour and on our labor.

Doing the work of the Lord is necessary. However, doing the work and forgetting why is exhausting. At times, we must stop, rest in His arms, and reconnect with Him before we move on. When we do, we realize we are never alone, Jesus is always with us, and always helping.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Have you connected with Him lately?

APRIL 13, 2022 – Is Your Name Written Down?

Is Your Name Written Down?

APRIL 13, 2022
Daily Reading – Joshua 23-24 / Luke 10:1-24

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Luke 10:1 says Jesus sent out seventy disciples to let people know He was coming. To validate who they were and who sent them He gave them powers to cast out demons and heal the sick. Their purpose, as is ours today, was to tell people of Jesus’ soon coming.

When they got back all they could talk about was the demons running from them. In Luke 10:20 Jesus says, do not be so surprised demons flee from you. I gave you that power when you left. If you want to marvel at something, rejoice that your name is written in the book of life. That is truly the bigger miracle.

People get all excited over signs and wonders, when the greatest miracle of all time is the fact that Jesus saved us from our sin, and our name is written down in the Heaven.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Is your name written down today?

APRIL 12, 2022 – Fear Not

Fear Not

APRIL 12, 2022
Daily Reading – Joshua 21-22 / Luke 9:28-62

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Luke 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Sadly, many people live in fear of God. They think of God as vengeful. As though He is sitting in heaven waiting to punish people for every little thing they do wrong.

Think about that for a second. If God wanted to hurt us for our sins, couldn’t He have done that any day of the week? Truthfully, most of us unwittingly or willingly violate God’s law and sin against Him often. We should not want to sin, but we live in a sin filled world. If God really wanted to get us, He could.

Today’s verse tells us more about who God really is. He is not out to destroy us, but to save us. Save us eternally from hell, and also from sin, self, and Satan. You serve a loving God, not a vengeful God.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Listen, can you almost hear God saying FEAR NOT?
