NOVEMBER 26 & 27, 2022 – A Gift That Lasts Forever

  A Gift That Lasts Forever

NOVEMBER 26 & 27, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 32-35 / 1 Peter 1

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

This time of year is all about finding that one perfect gift for the people we know. We want to give them something that they will like, use, enjoy and that will stand the test of time. We even might go so far as to check out the company standing behind the guarantee to see if it will be around if something should go wrong.
My parents gave me what I believe is the greatest of all gifts. They did not present it to me at Christmas or a birthday. It was their faith in the Word of God and the life they lived by it. The creator of the Word is God, and He stands behind all He has said, guaranteed. The Word never goes out-of-date, and the advice is still relevant today. It also saved my soul.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Go ahead; give gifts, but might you also live as a gift as well?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

NOVEMBER 25, 2022 – Saved, or Sinner?

  Saved, or Sinner?

NOVEMBER 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 28-31 / James 5

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

There has long been a debate by bible scholars as to whom James is referring to in verse 20. Many think he is speaking of a saved soul who has wandered off into sin, as most of the book is about Christians walking in the light of God’s love and word. If so, the converted would be a saved soul in sin, who has been pointed back to Christ. The death would be a physical death as an ultimate chastisement for unrepentant sin. If, however, the converted soul was that of a lost person, the death would be that of a second or spiritual death and the sin is that of not accepting Christ.
Saved or Sinner, all must be rescued.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

So, here’s a question. Should it matter to the person involved in the converting how God is using them to save?

NOVEMBER 24, 2022 – What’s On Your Schedule

  What’s On Your Schedule

NOVEMBER 24, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 24-27 / James 4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Those who know me know I am a planner. Even my planner has a schedule for scheduling next year’s schedule. I love to have plans in place. I read a slogan that said, “Plan your work, then, work your plan.” Even Jesus told the disciples to plan to go to win the world. The Bibles says to gather on pre-planned days. The children of Israel were told to plan on feast days, etc. So why then does it say not to plan on tomorrow?
There are some things we cannot plan for. We cannot plan for health. We can try to be healthy, yet viruses and accidents occur. For the most part, we cannot plan a normal life span. That is up to God. That also means we cannot plan to be saved later. You do not know if there will be a later.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

So, are you ready?

NOVEMBER 23, 2022 – That Was SOUR!

  That Was SOUR!

NOVEMBER 23, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 21-23 / James 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

James 3:10-11 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

My sister-in-law invited our family to dinner one day. Everything looked and smelt so good. On the table was a fruit salad. I love fruit salad, with the various fruits, marshmallows, and whipped cream. I placed a big helping on my plate. My mouth was so ready for the sweet, whipped cream goodness that when I took a bite of the SOUR CREAM fruit salad, I spit it out in a napkin thinking the fruit was bad or something. They all got a good laugh. I expected sweet but got sour.
Christian friend, the world is expecting a sweet spirit of God from us. Let’s not let the world turn us sour. The love of God is a sweet message indeed.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you be God’s sweetener at a social event this year?

NOVEMBER 22, 2022 – Guilty And Forgiven Of All

  Guilty And Forgiven Of All

NOVEMBER 22, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 17-20 / James 2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

James 2:10-11 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

How many sins does it take to be a sinner? It is like asking how many things you need to steal to be a thief, or how many lies must you tell to be a liar. The answer is only one. It is the same with the law, or commandments of God’s Word. If you break one commandment, you are guilty of violating the law of God. You may have never killed anyone, yet if you had ever sinned, you are still a sinner. The Bible says, we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
However, just as you are guilty of breaking the entire law with just one sin, one Saviour died in your place to pay the price for all your sin debt forever. Totally guilty, yet by faith in Christ, totally forgiven of all.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Have you by faith in Christ been forgiven of all your sin?
