Daily Reading – Psa. 69-72 / Rom. 10

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Romans 10:10-11 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

  Where is everyone? I ask that question on many Sundays and Wednesdays. I realize people go on vacation and get sick, but where are they the rest of the time? I ask myself when elections roll around, and I see the most unbiblical example leadership elected, where are the Christians? I wonder when it is time to go out on visitation and soul winning, why has no one showed up to go? I ask because the bible says if we believe on Him, we should “not be ashamed.”

  I have an Evangelist friend who said it this way. God doesn’t have “Secret Agents.” The world should know we are saved. Jesus openly died for us. He will return some day for the church.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will the Lord find the Bride of Christ
ashamed of their groom, King Jesus?

Daily Reading – Psa. 65-68 / Rom. 9

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

  People today are trying so hard to be something they were not created to be. People complain, my ears are too big, my lips are too thin, I am too fat, or too thin. It is a never-ending cry of I am too something that I do not like. So, let me ask you, who are you comparing yourself to, another person? You were not created to be that person. God created you exactly as He desired.

  “Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?” God created you perfect, even with your supposed flaws or disabilities. He loves you as you are. Quit trying to be something other than who God created you to be. Be all you can be for Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Will you look in the mirror and say, “I’m created too PERFECT to mess God’s creation up?”

Daily Reading – Psa. 58-64 / Rom. 8

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

  Remember the kids saying, “my daddy’s bigger than your daddy?” Children would tell of all the almost superhuman things their daddy could do. Once that child finished, the next one would top it until the stories became outrageous. Some claiming their daddy could lift cars or fly through the air. Just silliness. Or is it?

  Romans 8:31 says, “…If God be for us, who can be against us?” As Christians, our Heavenly Father loves us more than we can possibly imagine. No matter how huge our situation or trial is, God is bigger. For Christians, this present world is as bad as it gets for us. Eternity with Him will be so great. Oh, and by the way, My Heavenly Father can lift cars and can fly!

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Who, or what should we fear with God on our side?

Daily Reading – Psa. 52-57 / Rom. 7

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

      Time and again we have seen a couple meet, fall in love, marry, and not long after, they are announcing a new life in their home. A child is born from their love and relationship. God’s Word calls this being fruitful. After the flood, God told Noah’s family Genesis 9:1b… “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”

      When we accepted Christ as Saviour, we became part of the Bride of Christ. Paul said here in Romans 7:4 we are dead to the law and married to Christ. He then adds, “that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” He is talking about us reproducing ourselves. How? By sharing the gospel with others and winning them to Christ.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Shouldn’t our love relationship with the Lord cause us to be fruitful and reproduce too?

Daily Reading – Psa. 48-51 / Rom. 6

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Romans 6:15-16 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

        I remember meeting with the pulpit committee of the church I currently pastor. One man, concerned with my beliefs asked, “Do you believe in once saved always saved?” I said, “I sure do.” He said, “You mean to tell me you think you can get saved and live any way you want to?” I said, “Yup!” His mouth almost hit the floor. Then I added, “I believe you can live any way you want to, but I also believe that your “Want To” changes when you get saved.” (P. S. That man is a good friend and deacon today.)

     Paul was asking the church, should we sin because we are not under the law? His answer, “God forbid.” Why not, because our “Want To” has changed.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
