He Made You SPECIAL!

January 02, 2023
Daily Reading – Genesis 1 – 2 / Matthew 1

GOD’S WORD:

Genesis 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

GETTING INTO GOD’S WORD:

    In the first few chapters of Genesis, we see several things. First, we see that earth and all its creation was all God’s idea. No Angel, including Lucifer, had any part in this grand creation that we enjoy today called earth. We also see that God needed no help in its creation. The Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, worked together in all creation. We see it in verse one when it says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” The original word used there for God is plural which shows the trinity at work. However, the greatest thing we notice in this passage is that God made man special.

    Man was created as a trinity in the image of God. Plants have life. They have a structure, or what we may think of as a body, but they have no soul or spirit. Animals, while they may appear similar to man are not the same. While animals also have life, a body, and self-consciousness, they have no God-consciousness. You do not find animals creating places of worship. Man, however, was made SPECIAL. Man has life, yet a life different from that of plants and animals. While we have a body and a self-consciousness, we also have the awareness of God. God breathed this special life into man. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. You see, man is not the same as others in God’s creation. You’re SPECIAL! 

GETTING GOD’S WORD INTO ME:

  Remember, in all of God’s Creations, you were made to be like Him. We are not the ancestors of any other creation, nor the evolutionary product of time. We are created by God, and for God. 

Will you let the world see today that,
You are SPECIAL TO GOD?

DECEMBER 24 & 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Zephaniah / Revelation 16-17

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    Have you ever gone to a store and felt you have been mistreated? Maybe at the checkout a clerk was rude and disrespectful. So, you find the store manager only to find that they do not care either. When you get home, you find the corporate address and write a letter. Not long after, you receive a letter of apology, coupons, and an assurance this will never happen again. What is the difference? The owner sincerely cares about the store’s reputation and its customers.

    Satan may be causing a lot of problems today in this old world. However, the owner has been notified. There is coming a day when the King of all kings and Lord of all lords, who cares very much for you and His testimony will say enough. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Won’t that be a day?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

     On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

  Hooray For Judgment Day

Daily Reading – Lamentations 1-2 / Hebrews 9

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    I know some of you read the title and thought, “Has the preacher lost his marbles?” Who likes to be judged or face a time of sentencing? The answer is I WILL!
    If I thought I was going to have to stand unsaved before Christ as my judge and He was going to pass a sentence of eternity in hell because of my sin, well, then I would be afraid. However, as it says, Jesus was once offered to bear all my sin debt. So, as a believer in Christ, I can look forward to His coming for me at the rapture, or the end-of-life appointment which is set for me at death. Either way, He is not my judge as a courtroom judge, but rather as an Olympic judge ready to hand out reward. It all depends on how you plan to face Him.

Giggle All You Want

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

     People love to laugh. However, occasionally people laugh at what they do not understand. We as believers are sometimes laughed at for our walk with God. When we give our tithe, stop to pray, and live our lives by faith, those who do not enjoy the indwelling of the Holy Spirit do not understand, so they may laugh.

    They laughed at Jesus when He said, “weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.” Why did they laugh? Because they did not understand the power God has even over our most serious enemy, death.

     There will be a day when all the laughing stops. Until then, we must keep trusting our Lord, and winning others to Christ. They may giggle, but Christ is all in all.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Can you find joy in Jesus in the midst of the giggles?
