MARCH 27, 2026—A Light To The Gentiles Too!

A Light To The Gentiles Too!

Luke 2:30-32 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

   Being a Christian and believing the Bible is the Word of God has sometimes led people to ask, “Why do you serve the God of the Jews?” Or, “Isn’t the Bible a Jewish book?” The answer is yes; He is a Jewish God, and it is a Jewish book. However, He is also a God of the Gentiles, and this Bible is also a Gentile book.

    In today’s verses, Simeon calls Him, “A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.” He is God to all of humanity. Jews and Gentiles. He was God to all mankind in Genesis before there was a Jewish nation. Remember the Sunday School song, “Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world.”

MARCH 26, 2026—Presented To The Lord

Presented To The Lord

Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

   As I read today’s verse, I could not help but think, they presented the Lord our Saviour to the Lord our God. Every firstborn male was called holy before the Lord. They were given back to God at birth to serve Him. It struck me; they presented Jesus, clothed in earthly garments, to God His Father.

    One day, when Jesus returns for His own, He too will present the Church, His bride, to His Father, the Lord God. Presented as holy, without spot and wrinkle, clothed in white robes, which is the righteousness of Himself. One day, the Lord Our Saviour will present us to the Lord Our God. As man presented Jesus before God, Jesus will present man before God.

MARCH 25, 2026—Before Jesus

Before Jesus

Luke 1:76-77 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

In Luke, chapter one, we find the birth of John the Baptist. His father, Zacharias, has been mute for the entire pregnancy. As soon as his son is born, God releases his tongue to speak. His first words are praise for God. Then he lays out a path of service for his son John toward the Lord. He says, You will go before the Lord to prepare His way and give knowledge of salvation by the remission of sin.

    This is truly our mandate as believers as well. That from the day we accepted Christ as Saviour, we might go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Preparing for the Lord’s return and giving them knowledge of salvation by the remission of their sin through Christ.

MARCH 24, 2026 — Magnified

Magnified

Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

When I was a young boy, I remember getting a magnifying glass. I was amazed at how it made everything under it look so big. Things I could hardly see with my natural eye became so evident and clear under the power of this magnifying glass.

    Mary, in today’s verse, said, “My soul doth magnify the Lord.” Mary was saying, Let my life make God look bigger. That should be our prayer in life as well. Let all that I do make God look bigger. Let my actions, words, and lifestyle bring clearly into view the will of the Lord in whom I rejoice.
