Good Work = Great Reward

Daily Reading—Isa. 25-28 / Phil. 2
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Ephesians 6:7-8 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
People have tried to apply these verses to salvation. They believe that they will be allowed into heaven because of their good works. However, this passage is not about salvation. It is about how a saved person ought to live their life. Paul is saying good works will equal great rewards. No works equals no rewards.
Paul is telling the church, Do not work to please the boss while he’s watching; work for the Lord, who is always watching. He also says, Do it with the right heart. Not bitter about having to work. Instead, do it with goodwill, rejoicing to have a job, and being grateful that God gives you the health to perform it. Work for the Lord, and He will reward you. Work for man, and all you get is money.
