NOVEMBER 18, 2022 – He’s Everything Between

  He’s Everything Between

NOVEMBER 18, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 5-8 / Hebrews 12

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    The Bible says God is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet. Revelation 22:13 says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Today’s passage gives the same idea when it says He is the author and finisher of our faith. However, He is more than a start and an ending; He is everything between as well.
    Today’s verse also says, He sat down at the right hand of God. What is He doing? Hebrews 7:25 says; “…he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” He is serving as a mediator for man before God during the between times. I thank Jesus for salvation’s beginning and heaven’s eternal home.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Yet shouldn’t we thank Him for all the “Between times” too?

NOVEMBER 17, 2022 – You Just Can’t Do It

  You Just Can’t Do It

NOVEMBER 17, 2022
Daily Reading – Ezekiel 1-4 / Hebrews 11

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    FAITH! The cornerstone of a believer’s life. Today’s verse says it’s impossible to please God without faith.
    First, if you are going to be saved, you must believe there is a God. Not just any god. You must believe the God of the Bible, in heaven, is the one and only true God. You cannot be saved if you do not believe in GOD. Secondly, you must believe He is the one who rewards you in life. Salvation itself is a reward through Jesus His Son, to those who will diligently seek Him.
    Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith has evidence you can see in the Christian life.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Are you living evidence of this FAITH for others?

NOVEMBER 16, 2022 – One, And Only One

  One, And Only One

NOVEMBER 16, 2022
Daily Reading – Lamentations 3-5 / Hebrews 10

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    Once you pay off your loan at the bank for your car or home, how many more payments must you make? The answer is zero. No more payments due, and if it were a reputable bank, no more payments would be accepted. If you give them another payment, would you expect a bigger car or home? Of course not.
    Jesus, when He died in our place paid our sin debt completely. No other payment is due. It is paid in full. Neither can we earn more salvation by doing anything else. We cannot work or do well and earn any more salvation than we already have. There was one, and only one payment for all sin. As the song says, “Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe.” Another song says, “Isn’t Jesus my Lord wonderful.”

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What do you think?

NOVEMBER 15, 2022 – Hooray For Judgment Day

  Hooray For Judgment Day

NOVEMBER 15, 2022
Daily Reading – Lamentations 1-2 / Hebrews 9

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    I know some of you read the title and thought, “Has the preacher lost his marbles?” Who likes to be judged or face a time of sentencing? The answer is I WILL!
    If I thought I was going to have to stand unsaved before Christ as my judge and He was going to pass a sentence of eternity in hell because of my sin, well, then I would be afraid. However, as it says, Jesus was once offered to bear all my sin debt. So, as a believer in Christ, I can look forward to His coming for me at the rapture, or the end-of-life appointment which is set for me at death. Either way, He is not my judge as a courtroom judge, but rather as an Olympic judge ready to hand out reward. It all depends on how you plan to face Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What kind of Judge will He be for you?

NOVEMBER 14, 2022 – He Made A Choice

  He Made A Choice

NOVEMBER 14, 2022
Daily Reading – Jeremiah 51-52 / Hebrews 8

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    When thinking on the attributes of God we think of three rather big words that describe Him.
* Gods omnipresence – God is all-present/all-seeing
* Gods omnipotence – God is all-power
* Gods omniscience – God is all-knowing
These words describe the attributes of God which make Him different from we mortals. However, if God is omniscient, all-knowing, how can He say, “their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
    He does this in the same way a God who cannot die, found a way to die for our sin. Simply put, He chose to forget. When we forgive someone, we must choose to forgive. That is what God did when He chose not to remember our sin.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Can you Rejoice in His choice?
