OCTOBER 7, 2022 – You Can’t Even Imagine

  You Can’t Even Imagine

OCTOBER 7, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 8-10 / Eph. 3

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

As we read Ephesians 3:20-21, we realize that God, through Paul, was writing to churches through all ages, and therefore, writing to us, the church today. What is God saying to us today? He says, I am close to you.
Paul points out the marvel of who God is. He is “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” As I read it, I hear God saying, “You cannot even imagine all of who I am or what I am able to do.” He adds, “according to the power that worketh in us.” Do you realize how close God is to us? He is in us and able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, in and through us. “Unto Him be glory in the church” is an understatement.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it great to know this awesome God will never leave us?

OCTOBER 6, 2022 – How Do I Get Salvation

  How Do I Get Salvation

OCTOBER 6, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 5-7 / Eph. 2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

People are always trying to find new ways to get and/or to keep their salvation. Either by the things that they do, or religious acts that they keep. I love Ephesians 2:8-9 because it tells it like it is.
It says, “For by Grace are ye saved.” Grace is God giving us what we do not deserve. We do not deserve to be saved from hell as all have sinned and come short of His glory. Paul also says salvation is, “Not of yourselves,” emphasized with, “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” That clearly removes anything I might do, whether it be a good deed or religious act. He shares we are saved through faith in God’s gift. It is faith in Christ and that alone.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it great to know God saves us and not we ourselves?

OCTOBER 5, 2022 – What A Blessing

  What A Blessing

OCTOBER 5, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 1-4 / Eph. 1

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

One of my favorite hymns in church is, “This world Is Not My home.” For every believer, this is so true. We no longer have a citizenship here on earth. Our citizenship is really in heaven. It has been said, we are pilgrims on a journey toward a heavenly home. On this journey, God has blessed us in Heavenly places.
Where are those places? They are, “In Christ.” After accepting Christ as Saviour, we were placed in Him. His Holy Spirit is not only in us, but also seals us until Jesus returns for us. What a blessing to know we are secure, are forgiven, have an inheritance, we are adopted, and we are blessed, “in Christ.” All because He went back to heaven to secure all those blessings for us.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it great to know you are so blessed?

OCTOBER 4, 2022 – Sow What?

  Sow What?

OCTOBER 4, 2022
Daily Reading – Song of So. 5-8 / Gal. 6

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Does it matter what you do? People have pondered this question for ages. Asking, “Who does it hurt if I do this or that?” Or “It is none of their business what I do.” Another is, “No one cares what I do anyway.”
Does it matter what you do? YES, it absolutely does. Who does it hurt? Often our actions may hurt God. It is no one’s business, no one cares? Our life is God’s business, and He does care.
Also, we are impacted by how we live. The Bible says we harvest what our life plants. God is not mocked. We cannot claim to be Christians and have no difference between our lives and that of the world. It is simple, if you plant corn, you should expect corn to grow.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What seeds will your life plant today?
What harvest do you plan to reap?

  Let’s Go For A Walk

OCTOBER 3, 2022
Daily Reading – Song of So. 1-4 / Gal. 5

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

A good friend named Wade, who is in heaven today, suffered many heart attacks. They put in stents, did bypasses, replaced arteries, and did all they could do. His doctor told him one thing he had to do to keep his repaired heart strong, was to walk. He said, “I don’t care how fast you walk, but walk 30 minutes a day.” Some of my best memories of Wade were on the days we took those 30-minute walks together. We talked, laughed, and even shed a tear for people we knew.
If you want to grow close to God, you need to walk with Him. Laugh, talk, even shed a tear over things that break His heart and yours. You will find if you walk with God, you won’t desire to walk with the world at the same time.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Do you have on your walking shoes?
