JUNE 24, 2022 – Whosoever

  Whosoever

JUNE 24, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 26-27 / Acts 2:1-36

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

I know the King James Bible has some older words that we no longer use in modern English. I disagree with those who say it is too hard to read. Actually, with just a little help occasionally from a dictionary, we can understand every word.

Today though, I want you to look at just one word. It is the word, “Whosoever.”
This is not a hard word for anyone to understand. Whosoever means, well, it means whosoever, anyone, everyone, and everybody. This verse plainly says if anyone, everyone, anybody, whosoever, will call on the name of the Lord, they will be saved. Anyone who by faith trusts that Jesus is God’s Son who died for their sins and rose again, can be saved if they will just ask.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Why do we make things so complicated?

JUNE 23, 2022 – It Is The Last Thing He Said

It Is The Last Thing He Said

JUNE 23, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 23-25 / Acts 1

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 1:7-8 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When I was younger, at times my parents would tell me to do a few things while they were gone. If, and when they were not done, I remember hearing, “Why isn’t this done? Couldn’t you remember to do this? It was the last thing that I told you.” When they returned it also was the first thing that they inspected. It was not that I did not remember, I was just putting it off.
The last thing Jesus told us to do before ascending back to Heaven was to be a witness unto the uttermost parts of the earth. When he returns, I can imagine it will be the first thing that He inspects. I sure do not want to hear Jesus say, “Why isn’t this done? Couldn’t you remember to do this? It was the last thing that I told you.”

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Are we busy doing what He asked?

JUNE 22, 2022 – Do It Again

  Do It Again

JUNE 22, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 20-22 / John 21

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

John 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Jesus was crucified, placed in a tomb, rose from the dead, yet the disciples went back fishing. It is what they did before and was familiar to them.
Then Jesus shows up and asks, “are you catching anything?” Not knowing it was Jesus they yell back, “No!” He says, “Cast on the right side of the ship.” They did and caught a net full. They immediately realized; it was Jesus. Why? Well that story is familiar. In Luke 5, when they first met Jesus, He told them where to fish and they caught a boatload. Here He said, do it again.
When Jesus tells us to fish for souls, we ought to listen. Just because we did not win someone one time, maybe Jesus is just saying, do it again.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Are you still fishing for men as Jesus said to do?

JUNE 21, 2022 – That You Might Believe

  That You Might Believe

JUNE 21, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 17-19 / John 20

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

In our passage today, Jesus says to Thomas in verse 27, “be not faithless, but believing.” Thomas then addresses Jesus as His Lord and God. By doing so, he was saying he accepted Jesus as his Lord, and Saviour, and as God. That is what Jesus wanted for him, and for you and me. He says so in verse 29 when He says, “blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
Our verses today tell us Jesus did a lot more than we ever read about. Yet there is enough in the pages of scripture for anyone who desires to be saved, to be able to believe in Christ. Jesus wants us to have a real life through His name.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What more could we want than what
the Creator of all things could supply?

JUNE 20, 2022 – Scripture Is Never Wrong

  Scripture Is Never Wrong

JUNE 20, 2022
Daily Reading – 1 Chron. 15-16 / John 19:31-42

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

John 19:36-37 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

In every detail of Jesus’ life on earth, His death on the cross, His resurrection from the grave, and His ascension on high, scripture was never wrong. Not one detail was ever omitted, nor incorrect. From the way they parted His garments, to the fact that they did not break His bones, and even the piercing of His side. Every single detail happened exactly as was predicted.
I wonder why people have a hard time believing that the rest of the Bible will not come to pass as it is written? He is coming back. It says so. It will be suddenly without notice. It is written. He has built a home for those who love him. He said it. There is a place of eternal torment for those who will not believe. This is in there too.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What are you going to believe?
