NOVEMBER 15, 2022 – Hooray For Judgment Day

  Hooray For Judgment Day

NOVEMBER 15, 2022
Daily Reading – Lamentations 1-2 / Hebrews 9

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

I know some of you read the title and thought, “Has the preacher lost his marbles?” Who likes to be judged or face a time of sentencing? The answer is I WILL!
If I thought I was going to have to stand unsaved before Christ as my judge and He was going to pass a sentence of eternity in hell because of my sin, well, then I would be afraid. However, as it says, Jesus was once offered to bear all my sin debt. So, as a believer in Christ, I can look forward to His coming for me at the rapture, or the end-of-life appointment which is set for me at death. Either way, He is not my judge as a courtroom judge, but rather as an Olympic judge ready to hand out reward. It all depends on how you plan to face Him.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

What kind of Judge will He be for you?

NOVEMBER 14, 2022 – He Made A Choice

  He Made A Choice

NOVEMBER 14, 2022
Daily Reading – Jeremiah 51-52 / Hebrews 8

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When thinking on the attributes of God we think of three rather big words that describe Him.
* Gods omnipresence – God is all-present/all-seeing
* Gods omnipotence – God is all-power
* Gods omniscience – God is all-knowing
These words describe the attributes of God which make Him different from we mortals. However, if God is omniscient, all-knowing, how can He say, “their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
He does this in the same way a God who cannot die, found a way to die for our sin. Simply put, He chose to forget. When we forgive someone, we must choose to forgive. That is what God did when He chose not to remember our sin.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Can you Rejoice in His choice?

NOVEMBER 12 & 13, 2022 – Completely Saved Forever

  Completely Saved Forever

NOVEMBER 12 & 13, 2022
Daily Reading – Jeremiah 49-50 / Hebrews 7

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

When you accepted Christ as Saviour, you received more than salvation from the sin of your past. In Hebrews 7:25 it says, Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. How can He save us to the uttermost, meaning completely saved forever?
He can because He not only laid down His life and shed His perfect sinless blood for our sin debt, rose from the tomb for our sin debt, but He also lives today and forever making intercession with God over our sin debt. Past sin is gone, but sinful man needs an attorney representing them daily at the throne of grace.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Do you think He will ever lose a case?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

NOVEMBER 11, 2022 – He Just Can’t Do It!

  He Just Can’t Do It!

NOVEMBER 11, 2022
Daily Reading – Jeremiah 46-48 / Hebrews 6

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

I have heard people come up with some silly ideas concerning what God can and cannot do. I heard a man once ask, “If God can do anything, can He make a rock so big He cannot lift it?” My first thought was, if He does, I hope He creates it over your head. OK that is mean, I am sorry. However, God lives within boundaries He created for Himself. There are things God will not do because He has said He would not.
One boundary is that God cannot lie. If He ever lies, He will cease being God. Therefore, every word that comes from God is absolutely true, always. That is why Jesus said He is the way, the TRUTH, and life. His Word is forever true.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it good in this day of uncertainty to have an absolute truth to trust in?

NOVEMBER 10, 2022 – Pass Me Some TURKEY

  Pass Me Some TURKEY

NOVEMBER 10, 2022
Daily Reading – Jeremiah 42-45 / Hebrews 4-5

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Thanksgiving is not far away. Many of us will be dinning with family and friends. The table will be filled with, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, beans, and other great foods. The centerpiece is often a huge golden-brown turkey cooked to perfection. Oh, it smells so good. Just as you are thinking of reaching for something, they place a big bottle of milk in front of you and say, “Enjoy.”
Most likely you would say, “No way, I’m a grown-up, pass me some TURKEY.” Yet in many churches today it seems most Christians who should be feeding on the meat of God’s Word are satisfied with milk instead. When they should be teaching, they are satisfied with sitting and being taught. God needs workers today.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Isn’t it time you said, “Pass Me Some MEAT?”
