OCTOBER 25, 2022 – Faithful Or Falling Away

  Faithful Or Falling Away

OCTOBER 25, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 63-66 / 2 Thess. 1-2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

As we read our Bible, we find that God presents life as choices between one thing or another. We can only choose to go to Heaven or Hell. We have the option to do Right or Wrong, often by choosing between Good and Evil. Where we will spend eternity depend on if we are Saved or Lost. And the dying church today depends on if people are Faithful or Falling away.
The struggle in getting people to be faithful to God’s house and to look forward to fellowshipping with God’s people, should not surprise us. The Bible warned us this would happen. The surprise is it is happening in our churches and lifetime. Another surprise is seeing who it is that are falling away.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

As God examines your life, are you part of
the faithful, or the falling away?

OCTOBER 24, 2022 – All Still Means All

  All Still Means All

OCTOBER 24, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 59-62 / 1 Thess. 5

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

It appears today that many Christians seem to think it really does not matter what they do, where they go, what they say, or with whom they associate. Thinking, “since I know I am saved, what does the rest really matter?” It matters because it matters to God. How we conduct our self reflects directly on what we say Christ means to us. Sin is not always the question. It is how does the world see us in light of who we claim to be.
God used Paul to tell the Church, if something looks like it might be wrong, just do not do it. All still means all. Not, “is it wrong.” Is it possible for the lost world to perceive it to be wrong, and therefore maybe reject Christ? How do we appear to this lost and dying world?

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Better yet, how does Christ appear through us?

OCTOBER 22 & 23, 2022 – Was It Worth It To Them

Was It Worth It To Them

OCTOBER 22 & 23, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 53-58 / 1 Thess. 3-4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Being present at the birth of all my children, I can say as an eyewitness there is true pain in childbirth. No Ladies, I am not saying I know what it feels like, nor do I want to. However, I can tell you what it looks like. NOT GOOD! Yet, when this miracle of God’s grace is placed in the arms of a mother who just went through this pain, there is also real joy. Did it make the pain less real? NO, it just somehow seemed worth it.
Paul here is telling the church; I am suffering real pain. He said in verse 4 I told you this would happen. Yet in today’s verses it says when I look at what you have become in Christ, it is all worth it.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Which made me wonder, when the person who led us to the Lord or brought us to Church looks at us, does our life tell them all they endured may be worth it?

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY:

On Sundays, we encourage you to attend your local church and listen intently to what God has prepared in the heart of your Pastor. Write down all the scriptures he uses in that message, then, when you get home re-read those passages for today’s reading. God has given to your Pastor exactly what He desires for you on that day.

OCTOBER 21, 2022 – You CAN Take It With You

You CAN Take It With You

OCTOBER 21, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 49-52 / 1 Thess. 1-2

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Have you ever heard, “You cannot take it with you when you die.” People quote verses like 1 Timothy 6:7 which says, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” While that is true when it comes to earthly items, there is something you can gather on earth today and have with you when you get to heaven. It’s SAVED PEOPLE!
Paul told the church in Thessalonica that those who trusted in Christ would be his crown of rejoicing. When? When he stood in the presence of Jesus at His coming. Therefore, there is something you can collect on earth to take with you in heaven. Christian family and friends you have won to Christ.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

How many have you gathered to take along with you?

May I Have A Drink Please

OCTOBER 20, 2022
Daily Reading – Isa. 45-48 / Col. 4

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

Some years ago, a potato chip manufacturer advertised, “No one can eat just one.” Oh, how true it was. That salty little chip tasted so good that whenever you ate one, you wanted another and another and another. However, eating those salty chips would soon cause another craving, a drink of refreshing water.
Paul encourages us today to let our speech be with grace. Not harmful or hateful, but rather showing a true loving concern for others. Also, to season it with salt. In other words, our conversation should be a well- seasoned language, mature, and helpful. This speech will make them thirsty for the Water of life Jesus mentioned in John 4:14.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Does what you say about Christ make them say,
“May I have a drink please?”
