Behold, I Am Here, Lord
JULY 7, 2026
Daily Reading—2 Chron. 34-36 / Acts 10:1-22
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Acts 9:10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Acts 9 recounts the wonderful account of Saul’s Damascus Road conversion to Christ. Saul, who is also the Apostle Paul, began many New Testament churches; authored the majority of the New Testament by the guidance of the Holy Spirit; and did some mighty, wonderful things for God. We might get caught up in that story and miss another great man as well.
Ananias was a devout man of God. Not an apostle, not a pastor, nor a prophet. Just a faithful man, who, when called upon by God, listened and responded with, “Behold, I am here, Lord.” God didn’t call all of us to be the next great preacher or teacher. However, He does expect us to be ready when He calls.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Would you be listening today and prepared to say,
“Behold, I am here, Lord,” if He called you today?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself, what are MY THOUGHTS concerning this passage and today’s devotion?
Within this reading, do I find a CHALLENGE for my life?
What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
