God Promised

Daily Reading—Job 35-38 / Acts 25
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Paul had a desire to go to Rome to share the gospel. He was not sure if he might ever get to do that until Acts 23. That is when God made him a promise. God said, “as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.” Paul still did not know how or when he would get there. One thing he did know: God had promised him he would not die until he went to Rome. What a peace to know God was watching him. Oh, and Paul did go to Rome.
In the bible, God has made many such promises to believers today. Just like Paul, we today can have perfect peace in knowing that whatever God has promised to us, it will come to pass.
