It’s An Earth Thing

Daily Reading—Genesis 12-14 / Matthew 5
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the
evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Some things happen to both the born-again and the lost, and there is nothing we can do to change that. As our verse says, when the sun shines, it shines on everyone. When the rain pours, everybody gets wet. When the wind blows, floods come, and snow falls, we are all subjected to it. So, it is with other things as well. We all get old, all face illnesses, and all must die.
My friend, it is an Earth thing. While here, however, we can choose what happens in the life to come. The saved have chosen Christ and, therefore, a life with Him where many of these things are done away with. The lost by default choose eternal torment.
