What Is A Saint To Do?
AUGUST 4, 2026
Daily Reading—Psa. 6-10 / Acts 27:21-44
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
As a pastor, I have often heard the question, "Ok, I am saved, now what?” What are we as Christians supposed to do with our lives? People are naturally looking for a step-one, step-two, and step-three kind of answer. However, that is a good question for us all to answer. What is a saint of God supposed to do?.
Jesus, in speaking to Paul, gave us the answer. We are to help open the eyes of those blinded by Satan and the darkness of sin in this world. Bringing them to the glorious light of God and the truth of His Word. That they might receive forgiveness for sin, which they so desperately need, and an inheritance that comes along with being adopted into the family of God by faith in His Son, Jesus.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Doesn’t that simplify things a bit?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself, what are MY THOUGHTS concerning this passage and today’s devotion?
Within this reading, do I find a CHALLENGE for my life?
What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
