Daily Reading—Psa. 33-36 / Rom. 3
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
You are who you hang out with. I have mentioned this before in past devotions. If you want a good idea of who people see you as, look at the people you call friends. It is more than just an outward appearance. It is a measure of who you are. Misery loves company.
Today’s verse says, “they which commit such things are worthy of death.” What are “such things”? They are sinful things. Romans 6:23 says, “…the wages of sin is death…” What do those worthy of death enjoy? Our verse says, “…not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” They want to be around others who sin like them so they do not feel bad about their sin.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Do we think we can mask our sinfulness in a crowd of sinners?
IF YOU ARE JOURNALING:
Ask yourself, what are MY THOUGHTS concerning this passage and today’s devotion?
Within this reading, do I find a CHALLENGE for my life?
What actions will I take today or this week to meet this CHALLENGE?
