Someone’s Listening

JANUARY 22, 2026
Daily Reading—Genesis 44-45 /  Matthew 14

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Matthew 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

    Think back to when something special happened in your life. What did you want to do? You wanted to tell the most important person in your life all about it. As I read today’s verse, I see Jesus doing the same thing. He sent the disciples and the multitudes away and went to be alone to have a wonderful conversation with His Father. That conversation is one I would love to have overheard. He thanked God, His Father and best friend, for blessing not only the food but also the entire day. Not a quick chat, but a long, enjoyable talk.

    Today, God will be involved in your life. He will most likely do some awesome things if we ask Him to and then just watch for it.
