How Are We Called?

July 14
Daily Reading – Nehemiah 1-3 / Acts 13:1-28

WHAT GOD HAS SAID:

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

At many missions conferences I’ve heard the same question asked of missionaries. “How did you know you were called to that land?” Some have stories of being in the land before, going on a short-term mission’s trip, of family ministering there in the past, and so on. Yet the final answer is always the same. I knew in my heart, this is where God called me to go.

Today’s verse says, “the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” As it was then, it’s still so today. The Holy Spirit calls people to share the gospel to every creature. Going as Ambassadors of God.

WHAT DO YOU SAY:

Will you pray for a Missionary today,
thanking God they heard
the voice of the Holy Spirit and said YES?
