Daily Reading – 1 Chronicles 7-8 / John 17
WHAT GOD HAS SAID:
John 17:20-21 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN:
Many have called Matthew 6:9-13 “The Lord’s Prayer.” However, that passage is really the Lord’s model of prayer. The best Lord’s Prayer is found in John 17. It’s there that we hear the word’s of the Lord as He pray’s to his Father over what has taken place, and the future of those whom He will leave behind.
In John 17:20 He says; “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;” Friend, way back then Jesus prayed for you! Are you one who believed on Christ because of God’s word shared by the Disciples? Then Jesus prayed for you. Furthermore, He’s still praying for you at the right hand of the Father.
WHAT DO YOU SAY:
Doesn’t it bring you joy today
to know JESUS is praying for you?
